Information Literacy
Info Lit is a cycle course for all 6th grade students
at DMS. Information literacy skills will enable students to efficiently
locate information from a variety of sources and identify who wrote it,
why it was written, if the author is an authority on the topic, and
evaluate if the information will support their argument or answer a
research question.
Course Philosophy:
Technology is a part of life. In order for our
students to become effective users of technology, we must teach them how
to use it safely and ethically while relying on their own critical
thinking skills to evaluate the content they encounter and make
decisions about its use.
